Sanding Block Construction

Using a Ruler and a Tri-Square you will measure 7 1/2 inches and draw a 1/2 inch line on either side of the 7 1/2 inch line

Using a Hand Saw you will cut on the 7 1/2 inches line while staying in between the 1/2 inches lines.

From the opposite end you just cut with the Hand Saw you will measure 1 1/2 inches.

Using a Tri-Square you will draw a line all the way around the block of wood.

Using a Back Saw you will cut on the 1 1/2 inches line.

From the opposite end you just cut with the Back Saw you will measure 4 1/2 inches

Using the Tri-Square you will draw a line all the way around the block

Using the Back Saw you will cut on the 4 1/2 inch line.

Using Sand Paper and a Sanding Block you will sand the end smooth that you cut with the Back Saw

You will then round over the edges with Sand Paper.

You will then decorate your Sanding Block.
